The Introduction of the SSL, by E-commerce sites, was used to collect datas such as emails, password, card detils etc and then it advanced and became recommended for blogs and other websites. This is to secure the details that is available on the blog or website

After the SSL have beeb activated on your blog or websites, returning to HTTP might cause your site to get totally deindexed by Google and other search engines.

WHAT'S THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HTTPS AND HTTP

Have you noticed any difference between https and http, before we discovered HTTPS we used HTTP, what is the difference you Observed?
I shall discuss my observation with you,

i. HTTPS is a secured encryption but HTTP is not (That means that eaisly be hacked)

ii. Google added an additional ranking factor to HTTPS but HTTP is treated unsafe and unsecure, like I earlier mentioned, Google currently rank HTTPS higher than HTTP.

iii. HTTPS thereby comes with a secure green padlock while HTTP comes with an unsecured info icon.

iv. HTTPS stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol Secure while HTTP stands for HyperText Transfer Protocol.

v. HTTP is free for all while HTTPS is not. Except you get a shared version from CloudFlare.

I also felt the same when i decided to migrate from HTTP to HTTPS especially when you are now getting high traffic from google and other search engines to your blog or website.

Though the problem is from Blogger and they made it difficult for custom domains to migrate to https.

Immediately you buy a domain and switch it to HTTPS, you automatically looose your free HTTPS. How did you feel when you saw this message "Warning: https is not available at the moment for custom domain blogs", I felt so disappointed though.

Well if you ask for my advice, I think you should move because the benefit is worth it, you don't need to fear anything, just follow the simple steps bellow and your blog won't experience any issue either offline or otherwise. It will continue to function even if it is still on the process of migration and activation.
